Browser Extension Privacy Policy
For the Chrome extension “EximJinn — DGFT e-BRC Filer”
Effective: 17 July 2026
This policy explains how the EximJinn — DGFT e-BRC Filer browser extension (the “Extension”) handles your information. The Extension is published by EximJinn Technology Private Limited, which owns and operates the EximJinn platform. It is a companion to your EximJinn account and is designed to do one thing: help you file bulk e-BRCs on the DGFT portal in a single click. This policy covers the Extension specifically; our main Privacy Policy governs the EximJinn web application.
1. What the Extension does
When you start a bulk e-BRC filing from within EximJinn, the Extension automates the manual steps you would otherwise perform by hand on the DGFT portal (dgft.gov.in): it fills your DGFT login form, uploads the e-BRC file EximJinn prepared for you, runs DGFT's validation, saves the draft, and opens DGFT's own signing screen. It runs only on the two websites it needs — dgft.gov.in and eximjinn.com — and does nothing on any other site.
2. What information the Extension handles
- Your DGFT login details, only when you choose to use the auto-fill convenience. These are used solely to fill the DGFT login form so you don't have to type them each time.
- The e-BRC file to be filed, which EximJinn prepared from your own export data, so the Extension can upload it to DGFT on your behalf.
- The filing job details passed from your EximJinn account (for example, the draft reference) so the Extension can find and open the correct draft for signing.
3. How your data is stored and where it goes
Any DGFT login details used for auto-fill are held in Chrome's temporary session storage on your own computer, for the duration of the filing only. They are used to fill the DGFT login form and are not transmitted to EximJinn's servers by the Extension, not sold, and not shared with any third party. When your browser session ends, this temporary data is cleared.
The e-BRC file and job details travel only between your EximJinn account and the DGFT portal, which is exactly where they need to go to complete your filing. The Extension does not send your data to any other destination.
4. You always sign, yourself
The Extension never signs or submits your e-BRC for you. Digitally signing on DGFT — with your Aadhaar OTP or your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) — is always your own manual step, performed by you on DGFT's own signing screen. The Extension simply brings you to that screen. It does not have, store, or transmit your DSC, your Aadhaar OTP, or your signing PIN.
5. What the Extension does NOT do
- It does not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- It does not use your data for advertising, and does not load any advertising or cross-site tracking.
- It does not read, collect, or transmit data from any website other than dgft.gov.in and eximjinn.com.
- It does not collect your browsing history, and does not track you across sites.
- It does not sign, submit, or file anything without your own signature on DGFT's screen.
6. Permissions the Extension requests
Chrome will show you the permissions the Extension needs. These are limited to what the task requires: access to dgft.gov.inand eximjinn.com (to read the filing job from EximJinn and drive the DGFT screens), temporary storage (to hold the filing job on your machine while it runs), and the scripting/tabs ability to operate those two sites. The Extension does not request access to all websites or to your browsing data.
7. Data retention
The Extension keeps data only for as long as a filing is in progress, in your browser's temporary session storage, and clears it afterward. It keeps no long-term store of your credentials or files of its own. Records of your filings live in your EximJinn account, governed by our main Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Extension evolves. The latest version will always be available at this page (eximjinn.com/extension-privacy), and material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
